Chapter Five - Of Course...

     Surprisingly to me the dungeon passed by uneventful after that. Aside from gusts of wind and creaky floorboards that made us jump, the next three rooms were quiet as well. There was a set of stairs up to an open archway. In the darkness of the tunnel I could see a glowing ball of light. No, it couldn't be…

     "Toby, look!" Felix sprinted for it. My concern for his safety and my own curiosity drove me to follow. It was a while before we stood over the little glowy thing. I could sense that pulling feeling again. It was the way out. With a glance at each other we nodded and touched it. The light surrounded us then dispersed just as quickly. Stone walls encased us in a box besides one huge wooden door in front. I spun in place just trying to process this before looking at Felix. He was attempting to open the door and found it locked.

     "That key you found earlier." It fit the lock perfectly. When it swung open light swallowed us. Slowly I stepped up with a hand shielding my eyes. That was sunlight… The land that lay before us was grassy and bright. We rolled our eyes at each other and the air between us spoke the words 'yeah, go figure we're not done yet…'

     "What is this?' He gasped excitedly. "Vespa!"

     "What?" I stood at the top of the hill in confusion as Felix dashed down it to some purple snowmobile looking thing. He called out a come on so I made my way to him. By then he was already seated and pulling me on to sit behind him.

     "Ready for this?"

     "Not really. I don't understand what's going on."

     "It's Happy Wheels! This is Vespa. Hold on she's kind of crazy." I'm rather new to Happy Wheels but one thing I know for sure is that it's exceedingly violent like no other. I'm dead. Felix hit the throttle, making me cling to him in fear. The vehicle shot up then forward. He barely dodged spike walls and beeping mines. I couldn't take the stress so I just closed my eyes. Then I felt the world turn upside down. We were spinning at a rather sickly speed. Several flips later we struck ground and were thrown from the vehicle. After receiving multiple bruises, along with grass in my mouth, I tumbled to a stop in a sitting position.

     "Felix, you alright?"

     "Yeah, I'm fine." He circled around from behind me as I faced the direction we came and helped me up. "You okay bro?"

     "Slightly dizzy but I'll manage. Oh no…" By now we had faced the right direction and began walking forward only to see a bike perched atop another hill. My stomach dropped.

     "I call front!"

     "You do that…" I mumbled as he darted for it. When I reached it he forced me into the child's seat. "Seriously? Just go slow please?"

     "Sorry bro, that's not how this works." Off we sped down the hill as I hollered loudly. In front of us stood pedestrians I recognized from the game.

     "Uhh… Felix?"

     "Shut up boy. I'm concentrating!"

     "But you just ran over Segue Ste-"

     "I don't care!!!" I laughed as I latched onto my seat, remembering this was his thing. A few close calls passed us then I heard an engine rev behind us. Glancing over my shoulder my breath caught in my throat.

     "C-Combine!" With both of us screaming Felix pedaled faster across the jumps. One jump appeared too intense for Bike making the front tire bend and collapse. I managed to roll out of the fall but Felix face planted into the ground. I pulled him to his feet to sprint for the door ahead of us. Seconds after we entered the archway the combine smashed into the wall. I could see Mr. Face in the driver's seat poof away. Suddenly, checkered flags popped out of the ground showering us in rainbow colored sparks. Music played from nowhere and text floated just above our heads: Victory! The door on the other side of the hall creaked open by itself. We passed through it to see that we were once again inside the castle of Amnesia… Of course…
