Chapter Six - Uh hi.

     "Felix, are you alright?"

     "Yeah I'm fine." He most definitely wasn't fine. The man was struggling just to walk a straight path ahead of me. His heel of his palm kept pressing on his forehead at random intervals.

     "Liar!"

     "What? I'm not lying."

     "Awe man, if I could press Y right now I'd be mashing it. You are lying so hardcore; the hardest of core even." That's when he spun on me in a wtf manner and I saw the blood. There was a gash directly above his right eyebrow where crimson liquid trailed down the side of his face. "Uh, Felix I think you need this."

     "No, it's small. I don't want to waste anything we might need." He turned down the laudanum I was offering him. I pressed on, forcing him to take it. The gash sealed and he smeared off most of the blood that bothered his eye. The whole time we were progressing down the hall.

     "Alright which way?" I asked figuring he would start his little chant, giving me the chance to learn it myself. Before he could the castle shook. There was a cracking sound then rays of light broke through the darkness. We stared at the ceiling to watch a gap stretch across it then the edges chip off to tumble in our direction. As several huge sections of the ceiling raced to crush us, Felix and I locked terrified eyes. His hands through me backwards as he dove in the opposite direction. The rocks smashed down to create a complete barrier to the other tunnel.

     "Toby!" I could hear his shout through the boulders.

     "I'm alright Felix. We need to keep moving though. The noise probably attracted the monsters. These paths probably connect again somewhere."

     "Agreed. See you ahead bro." Footsteps walking away were the last I heard of him. I realized slowly that I was now on my own for who knows how long. My head started to pound.
"No. Don't freak out, Buscus. You can do this." At least a minute was wasted talking to myself like that. When I finally psyched myself up enough I stepped forward. It was so dark. Felix has the lantern! Inwardly cursing I moved on anyways. There was a door on my right that I cautiously crept into. As I rummaged through the desk something golden glinted on the shelf. My thought was to not even acknowledge it's presence. It didn't work.

     "Where is Pewdie?"

     "I don't know, Stephano."

     "You… You don't know?"

     "No I don't. The cave in cut us off."

     "If you were smart you wouldn't have let that happen."

     "You know what, Stephano? I am trying to get both of us out of here alive and I don't need any criticizing from you. So far you've done nothing to help us so I don't see where you have room to complain. On top of that you're unnecessarily rude and I have no idea what I did to make you hate me, I honestly don't."

     "Please stop fighting." The chair broke in, a quiver of fear in his voice. I did as he said, no longer holding the tension I'd had for most of the game.

     "Alright Mr. Chair." Before I could say anything else a girlish shriek reached my ears. "Felix?"

     I bolted for the door, searching the corridor. It was close so he had to be too. My eyes scanned over a figure at the end of the hall and I froze. It wasn't Felix but it wasn't a monster either. I could see the outline of a feminine body with slightly long hair in the moonlight shining through the window behind her. That was a girl. She was doing something with her hand; she was pointing behind me. I looked back to see Mr. Face gaining distance on me. I yelped and sprinted after the girl. She audibly giggled from down the path then broke left. Confused I followed. I just caught her hair disappearing into another room. Inside I hid in the wardrobe until all the noise ceased to exist. After getting out I found the room empty of any other presence. Then a whisper over my shoulder.

     "Hi." I screamed as I ducked away. When I finally saw her face I could see gentle smirking lips with glowing silver eyes. Her side swept bangs flowed into her face as she cocked her head sideways, still smirking at me.
